Appeals and Complaints Policy

A fair and transparent route for raising concerns about decisions, review or ethics.

Last updated: 11 August 2026

Who May Raise a Concern

AJISI provides authors, reviewers, and readers with a fair and transparent mechanism to raise concerns regarding editorial decisions, peer review processes, or ethical issues.

Appealing a Decision

Authors who wish to appeal a rejection must submit a written request outlining the grounds for reconsideration to ascendresearchpublication@gmail.com.

Appeals are reviewed by an independent editorial board member not involved in the original decision. An appeal is not a second review, so it needs to identify something the first decision got wrong — a factual error, a misreading of the work, or a procedural failure.

Complaints

Complaints related to misconduct, bias, or procedural irregularities are investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Confidentiality and Outcomes

All appeals and complaints are handled confidentially, with outcomes communicated promptly to the parties involved.
