Our Statement

The personal information collected during the submission and publication process — including names, institutional affiliations and contact details — is used solely for academic and scholarly purposes related to the journal. This information is essential to communication between authors, reviewers and editors, and to maintaining the integrity of the peer review process.

We adhere to data protection regulations to ensure that personal information is securely stored and managed. Under no circumstances will this data be shared with unauthorised individuals or third-party entities, nor used for any commercial activity.

Data is shared only where it is necessary to operate the journal: with the reviewers and editors handling a manuscript, and with service providers for hosting, email delivery and, where applicable, DOI registration and repository deposit.

Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors. Author identities are not disclosed to reviewers during review.

Retention

Submission records, including for rejected and withdrawn manuscripts, are retained so that the journal can respond to any subsequent question about a decision or an allegation of misconduct. Published articles are retained permanently, as the nature of the scholarly record requires. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

Your Rights

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete data we are not obliged to retain. Write to ascendresearchpublication@gmail.com.

Cookies and Readership Statistics

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Readership statistics are collected on our own server, without cookies, and are never shared with any third party. We record the page visited, the date, the country your request came from, the site that referred you, and whether you are on a phone or a computer.

To tell one reader from another without identifying anyone, your IP address and browser are combined with a secret value that changes every day and is then discarded. The result cannot be reversed into an IP address, and cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next. We do not store IP addresses.
