Ethical Standard Adherence

ASCEND operates in strict compliance with the COPE Core Practices and is committed to maintaining the absolute integrity of the academic record.

Duties of Authors

Authors are expected to present an honest, accurate account of their original research and an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data must be represented truthfully, without manipulation.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback. If a reviewer feels unqualified to evaluate a paper or cannot complete the review in the allotted timeframe, they must notify the editor immediately and recuse themselves.

Duties of Editors

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual and scientific merit, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. Editors hold a duty of absolute confidentiality regarding all submissions and must manage editorial conflicts of interest transparently.
