The Ascend: Journal of Interdisciplinary Scholarship and Innovation (AJISI) adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility. All parties involved in the publication process — authors, editors, reviewers, readers, and the publisher — share responsibility for maintaining public trust in scholarly work.
FAIR Evaluation
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, clarity, methodology, and relevance, without discrimination based on nationality, gender, academic rank, or institutional affiliation.
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain confidentiality of all submissions and may not use unpublished material for personal advantage.
Ethical Oversight
Editors follow COPE flowcharts to investigate complaints regarding plagiarism, fraudulent data, authorship disputes, or reviewer misconduct.
Decision Integrity
Acceptance or rejection decisions must be objective, free from external pressures or personal relationships. An editor who has submitted to the journal takes no part in any decision concerning their own manuscript.
